LaRue Tactical To Limit Law Enforcement Sales to Same Weapons as Citizens

LaRue Tactical Issues New Sales Policy for State & Local Agencies.

Editors Note: This is a company of patriots, we challenge all companies in the shooting sports industry to adopt this same policy.

LEANDER, TX –-(Ammoland.com)- Due to the recent and numerous new Anti-gun/Anti-2nd Amendment laws passed and/or pending across our country, LaRue Tactical has been forced to reconsider how we provide products to state and local agencies.

Effective today, in an effort to see that no legal mistakes are made by LaRue Tactical and/or its employees, we will apply all current State and Local Laws (as applied to civilians) to state and local law enforcement / government agencies.

In other words, LaRue Tactical will limit all sales to what law-abiding citizens residing in their districts can purchase or possess.

State and local laws have always been a serious focus of this firm, and we are now dovetailing that focus with the constitutional rights of the residents covered in their different areas by the old and new regulations.

We realize this effort will have an impact on this firm’s sales – and have decided the lost sales are less danger to this firm than potential lawsuits from erroneous shipments generated by something as simple as human error.

Thanks in advance for your understanding.

Mark LaRue

In regard to your position LaRue Tactical To Limit Law Enforcement Sales to Same Weapons as Citizens. If this is your decision, I think it’s a stupid decision in that you are not selling to supporting the law enforcement organizations in those states, cities or counties that support the 2nd amendment. Perhaps you should run for congress as that seems to be the same mentality our lawmakers are using. I have a son who is a police officer in Massachusetts and both he and his department are supporters of both the NRA and the 2nd amendment. If that is their… Read more »

Mark, like many of us took an oath to defend this nation from all enemies foreign and domestic. His reorganization of the sales strategy is right on point. Every, and I mean every company involved with any manner of firearms, parts, ammo, etc. should do the same thing as LaRue. This will send a crystal clear message that at some point everyone will be on a level playing field. Way to go Mark.

I gotta agree that the disclaimer pretty much takes the wind out of your sail. Personally, I'd rather you sell to the local LEO's, and not the Feds.

mike

my next firearm will be from your company this is a Fact!

HBH, since you wanted to yell at Bob, civilians CAN own the same arms as the military according to the Constitution. It says to "bear arms", it does not say what type and therefore means all arms. Don't believe me, look at the Declaration of Independence at the 12th reason given for fighting the king, "He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil Power." Look up NFA 1933 and what douche Reagan did to us in 1986. No sir, you need to know what you are talking about before you open your mouth!!!

DaveGinOly

Imagine what would happen if our soldiers who are fighting for our country to keep us safe, fight with semi-automatic rifles with 10 round magazines. Yes, imagine that. Imagine how this would cripple our soldiers' ability to fight. That is the point. The feds wouldn't be able to claim that these proposed legislative solutions to "gun violence" will work without degrading the usefulness of these weapons in self-defense situations. If the restrictions impair a soldier's war-fighting capability, they will likewise restrict a civilian's ability to defend himself and his family. LaRue, please consider suspending sales to all federal agencies and… Read more »

Bob,you are as wrong as hell. Civilians CAN NOT have the same weapons as the military by 2nd Amend.guarantee. If so all my AR15 and AK's would be full auto. Know what you are talking about before you run your mouth !

HBH

Down here in Texas we are all telling obama and all the other libturd pantie wastes to go to hell !!! HBH

Ronnie Barrett did the same thing to California when they banned 50 Cals in that state. Then, Barrett Rifles set about to immediately design a new round, the .416 I believe. Every firearm manufacturer should follow the exact same model. No guns for citizens, no guns for government.

Robert Ando

I a dedicated Larue customer. You make the best stuff. I think you ought to include the feds and the military, too. It's aal the feds we have to worry about. Militarey is okay, since they can outsource anything anyway, but Homeland Security is the new Big Brother…

Rick

Well done in following the path of Barrett rifles (although I think that he stopped Federal sales as well).

If I didn't live in the People's Republik of MA, I would order a LaRue!

Sue B

Unfortunately, if Mark LaRue refused to sell to the military and government, BATFE would have the "right" to come in and shut him down faster than you could say "Jack Sprat!" Hence, his disclaimer.

Mark LaRue and Ronnie Barrett are both to be commended for their courage, principles and forthrightness. I am waiting to see who joins them.

Becker

I am not really sure what you are saying or trying to say. To me, the bottom line is if refuse to sell to cop, Feds, government, etc., and can do it legally, it would be payback for gun laws enacted on JOE THE PLUMBER law abiding citizen. What is good for the goose… Homes are broken into and guns stolen all the time. It can happen to JOE THE PLUMBER anytime. Too bad for the government. Go find the bad guy who did it. The whole problem is they don't look for the real bad guys as hard as… Read more »

Mark LaRue * * This policy does not apply to Military / Federal Agencies * * Should the application of principle begin with that statement? One cannot publicly rail about government while feeding at the military trough. Often the local, state, and federal, agencies all work together. Usually not, but… Violating gun laws, puts one into the Federal, alphabet soup of agencies. Trust me, when the black panel truck shows up, along with the Suburbans with blacked out windows, they will not be carrying snub nosed 38's. They will, however have really large alphabets across their backs and guns that… Read more »

Lurking in the background, quietly bidding time is the 800 pound Gorilla, AKA, IRS. When they begin to put you on their radar, for tax obligations, as regards weapons, and ammo, etc., there will be few escape methods. Citizens will be looking for every way imaginable to loose their firepower in order to escape that threat. We all know just how effective an in place active system the IRS is. They plan to use the IRS to implement Obama care. Let us see how guns play out. They won't ban guns, they want you to think that. They need to… Read more »

VP

Lest we forget, this is not simply about gun grabs. Has anyone forgotten just how Obama care got implemented? The Supreme Court decided that it was simply a health care tax, and therefore legal. Does anyone think that limiting guns will really amount to to stiff per gun taxes, thus making them impossible to own unless the owner has a lot of money to keep the fees, taxes, licenses, permita, etc., in place in order to keep them. Once they do that, guns will leave American hands so fast, that government will not be able to find a place large… Read more »

That is outstanding. All firearm related companies should do the same. while were at it, limit the firepower of our lawmakers armed guards also.

VP

I wonder which "American" company(ies) have the contracts for providing ammunition to DHS and the other alphabet agencies. One wonders what they think about their potential role in providing our government with the means to subvert and supress Americans through the sale of products designed to do just that. If guns are illigal in NY, for example, then why do law enforcement officials need guns? After all; Piers Morgan states that guns are outlawed in England, and the Bobbies carry night sticks and tasers. Our government should disarm to the same level of disarmament as the citizens they supposedly represent.… Read more »

Nice PR job, that last little note about still selling the feds whatever they want was skimmed over by many. The comment about ammunition manufacturers was spot on. Let the .gov wait until the market stabilizes somewhat.

Seanoamericano

It would be awesome if companies would refuse to fill orders for all the ammunition that DHS is submitting

Steve Purdy

Awesome response from an awesome company. Just made my opinion of them go even higher.

Outstanding Mr. Larue! From a former Marine and firm believer in the Constitution I thank you. We the people have the right to defend ourselves from a tyrannic govt. Nobody wants that, but the govt is supposed to serve the people, and it's not. If the police and military go back to muskets, so will I. Until then, I will take my continue to have weapons. For the joy of just shooting targets at the range, or for defending myself, my family, my country and our Constitution.

dave ki

Military ok I see that, but govt. agencies?Personnaly that brings to mind HLS FBI hell Fema.

Jeff, Although you are correct stating, "It is current and specific Federal Gov’t (white house) policy that is pushing the various state’s political hacks to work together in concert for banning military style arms for the public;" there are numerous reasons why LaRue cannot apply the same policy on military and federal government agencies. One that I think of is for our soldiers abroad. Imagine what would happen if our soldiers who are fighting for our country to keep us safe, fight with semi-automatic rifles with 10 round magazines. This is just one example…and if you think hard enough I'm… Read more »

Respectfully Mark, your disclaimer: "This policy does not apply to Military / Federal Agencies" renders your entire new sales policy post void. It is current and specific Federal Gov't (white house) policy that is pushing the various state's political hacks to work together in concert for banning military style arms for the public. You're smart enough to know that.

Bob

LaRue, The citizen is guaranteed the same weapons as the military by the second amendment.

Thank you for supporting us on that.

Tim Beinecke

LaRue. You just earned a new customer. The civilians that are firearm owners of this country appreciate your company and from what my friends tell me, your outstanding, high quality products. I look forward to buying some products from your company in the future.

Respectfully,

Tim Beinecke

Bill Baker

We all know they have no need to fear sales losses as this is an awesome PR move if nothing else.

George Smoot

I was on here looking to buy products from your company. As a Police Officer reading this, I have decided not to purchase a single penny’s worth of your products and will spread the word to all my fellow colleagues and friends. Supply the Fed Gov’t anything they want but not local law enforcement????

When someone is breaking into your house or there is a rapist or killer on the loose in your neighborhoods…..call the Military/FBI/ATF or your local neighborhood watch. Good luck in your survival.
