Did I miss something? Weren’t these people charged with money laundering and smuggling/sales of arms to Mexico/which were intended for Mexico? There criminals (if convicted) and should be treated as such.

Where was all of the uproar when the so-called, “Patriot Act” and all of the “Asset Forfeiture Laws” were being proposed an implemented across the nation.
It’s the Sheriff of Nottingham rule-of-law at it’s worst. A persons real property literally becomes equivalent to a living person, needing to be bailed out. Held hostage until the ransom is paid. Most people, in fact, never see their property once it’s been seized, even if they’re found not-quilty (“innocent”). The seizer’s (Caesar’s) sell the property at auction to fund their police departments, which of course expand exponentially as more property is converted to cash. Legal criminal enterprise.
Beware of anyone coming onto your property to plant evidence, so as to later make a bogus arrest. They could care less about you or your family, they just want the assets. Your nothing more than a hard working cash cow to them.

Just one MORE reason the federal AND state governments need reduced in size and power and to be brought under control of ” We the people ” and the United States Constitution . Any and ALL dishonesty in government needs to be brought under control with legislation putting some REAL teeth in the crimes they commit in the name in the name of justice and security .

This will be an uphill struggle, as the government will do everything it can to both save face & deny compensation for their actions.
I hope the family’s defence team for the retrial is top drawer.
