Major, I was also stationed at Nellis during the riots and I did not live on base. I rode out the riots with no problems, I did not own a gun at the time, but a non military family I had just met, lent us a one during the days. i did quickly buy one afterwards. The onkly reason I didnt think about going to base was to protect my property. But our leadership pleaded for those living off base to find safety on-base. I just retired out of Minot and when any sort of off-base incident occurred. Military would be accounted for and if the situation warrented, required to come on base or restricted to base

I live in Florida, and I carry a gun, as do over 1 million of my fellow citizens. Are we concerned about riots when the charges against Mr. Zimmerman are dropped? Not freaking hardly!
