It is easier to pontificate about something you do not know about that to speak from experience and learned common sense.
NYC Mayor Bloomberg is a perfect example of a politician speaking about something he knows nothing about. Reminds me of Georgia Congressman Hank Johnson’s worry about Guam capsizing because of over population.

Mopar, I don’t want a Dr to operate on me because he’s a Dr. I want him to know what he’s doing. I don’t want a legislator making laws just because he’s a legislator. I want him to have some idea of what he’s doing. Formerly a resident of CT, I can’t believe that state is destroying the peoples rights and one of the major industries that built that stste. So sad.
Remember all of the great companies that were founded in and grew in CT over the last 2 centuries. There is a lot of firearms knowledge in the state, but not in the govt.

Nancy, I guess I’m missing your point. You are saying unless a legislator takes training at King33 we’re going to vote them out? Even the legislators that are already progun, own guns, have carry permits and even compete in the shooting sports? We’re going to vote those people out because they know nothing about guns and replace them with antigunners who are experts because they took a free class at King33?

So, just because legislators didn’t accept one specific offer, from one specific organization and one specific trainer, that means NO legislator ever has?
CCDL and it’s MANY instructor members have been making this offer for years, and yes, some legislators HAVE taken the offers. Several are on the Sandy Hook Task Force. I guess CCDL didn’t feel the need to put out a press release every time.

Also, I can think of more then a handful who are already gun owners, hunters, permit holders, and even at least one Task Force member who has done some competitive shooting.
Saying ALL these people are not qualified on the subject because they didn’t come to YOU for the training and info isn’t just arrogant, it’s probably the most damaging thing to our cause that I’ve seen so far this session.
