This time will be better at teaching them than anything else. First take the time to teach them to hit a target. My father took about 5 minutes on that and then it was time for us to hunt. Years of hunting in the woods gave me confidence in combat that just shooting at paper could never have given me. I could be dropped into a forest anywhere in the world and I felt like I was home and had no trouble finding my way around. Shooting at paper is good, but it never gives you the instincts of survival. It only takes a few minutes to learn how to line up on target, but years of hunting to learn what really counts.
