Washington, DC –-(Ammoland.com)- We realize it’s short notice, but we wanted to alert you that, later tonight, Senator Mike Lee of Utah intends to offer an amendment to the budget resolution that would prohibit any gun control legislation which does not have a 2/3 vote in the Senate.

We know, we know. We would prefer to prohibit any and all gun control, even if it had 100 votes.

But if the Lee amendment is passed, the practical effect will be that gun control can never again pass the Senate.

Given the Armageddon-like fight which we are now engaged in in the Senate, achieving a gun-control peace for the rest of our lifetimes would be a good thing.

ACTION: Contact your Senators. Ask them to vote for the Lee amendment which would require a 2/3 vote for the Senate to impose any gun control.

You may Click here to use The Action Center, or you can call your Senators since time is short. The number for the Senate is 202-224-3121.

We never hear anything about Diane Feinstein’s mysterious husband, Richard Blum.

He’s reputed to be a long-time international arms dealer and is a part owner of a defense supply company that gets government contracts for hundreds of millions of dollars at a time.

I have 2 Anti-Gun Senators,Feinstein and Boxer.I write to them but its in one ear and out the other. They write back when I write to them though I think its a form letter from both of them.

This might be an ex post facto law. Certainly there won’t be a majority for any proposal to eliminate the ability of the legislative body to deliberate whatever issues might arise pertaining to the Constitutional responsibility to consider laws through debate.

The Supreme Court could not sustain this as it can not be Constitutional.

There is and will always be debate, because current day issues cause the question to be brought up and new laws considered. The only final resolution of dynamic issues is in the grave. And we could learn that even that idea isn’t true.

Why do we have to keep hashing and re-hashing this gun control crap. The supreme court upheld the right for everyone to own guns and defend themselves. Should have been the end of story back then. Should have been the end in 1776. Someone get these people a copy of the constitution. I don’t think it is that they don’t understand it as much as they don’t want to understand it.

I’ll send the letter’s, but since they are Schumer and Gillibrand from New York I already know I’ll get a kiss ass form letter from the secretary as these 2 are rabidly anti gun. They would like nothing better than the second amendment removed from the constitution
