Pressure & Competition Rises as Final Few Battle This Week on Wanted: Ted or Alive

Wanted: Ted or Alive Snags No. 1 Ratings

New Berlin, WI – Sportsman Channel, the leader in outdoor television for the American sportsman, announced that its reality-based mini-series hosted by Ted Nugent—Wanted: Ted or Alive—was the No. 1 show in its time period with a .3 live+3 rating for the M18-34 and M25-54 demos for the past two consecutive weeks for all mid-sized networks*  Hosted by the original, All-American outdoorsman, Wanted: Ted or Alive introduces five young adults to the sportsman lifestyle of self-reliance and responsibility as they compete in numerous different outdoor challenges that only the Motor City Madmen could contrive. Airing Mondays at 7 pm ET/PT, exclusively on Sportsman Channel, Wanted: Ted or Alive has contestants questioning if they can truly survive the outdoors—and Nugent.

“We continue to program for the expanding and growing interests of today’s American sportsman and sportswomen and that includes shows that entertain and inform about the great outdoors in completely unique ways—Wanted: Ted or Alive is a perfect example,” said Graig Hale, VP of Business Development at Sportsman Channel. “Putting a reality TV series, hosted by the incomparable Ted Nugent, was the right move and we will continue to be innovative with our offerings.”

Considered a “master outdoorsman” and one of the world’s best guitarist showman, Nugent pushes the limits of each contestant as they are thrown into the wild and forced to live off the land to eat, win and survive with Ted’s tools and by Ted’s rules. From using buffalo skin to make their own clothes to learning the sharp shooter skills of an archer, they participate in various challenges throughout the episodes, accruing points in the form of cash dollars along the way. The participant with the most “money” at the end of the week will win the grand prize of $25,000.

*coverage area rating across all mid-sized cable networks (ad supported and external non-daily) with a March 2013 Nielsen HH UE of between 20MM and  80MM.
