I purchased two Mark V Deluxes back in the early ‘90s, one a 24” bbl .300 Wby and the other a 26” bbl .340 Wby. Both rifles were made in Japan and both shoot excellent groups on targets and game. At the time Weatherby’s were guaranteed to shoot 1-1/2” groups at 100 yards. The .300 will still shoot a 3/8” 3-shot group with factory ammo and the .340 will shoot 5/8” groups. I paid $800.00 apiece for each rifle back then and another $400.00+ for the Leupold scopes and mounts; both rifles came with high figure wood and Weatherby’s early fiberglass stocks. Twenty years ago we were suffering through an earlier cyclical recession and that amount of money was dear. I had saved for fifteen years for those rifles and have never regretted it. Since that time I’ve been fortunate to purchase several Vanguard rifles in standard calibers and I have been very happy with the accuracy and finish of those rifles too.

Does the rifle come with a mounted scope? Was the "sub-moa" 3 shot group made with iron sights? If so, at what distance.
I can build a new rifle or refurbish a used rifle with decent scope for a lot less than $2,700 dollars and establish a sub-moa performer given a little time, range time, good ammo, and patience.
