Franklinville, NY –-(Ammoland.com)- Every year the ranks of domestic and international sportsmen are joined by an increasing number of sportswomen.

These hardcore active women need an everyday carry (EDC) knife that matches their toughness, yet also embodies a just-for-her feel. Ontario Knife Company (OKC) responded to this call with a new addition to its top selling line of RAT folders, the new OKC Pink RAT II Folder.

The OKC Pink RAT II features AUS-8 blade steel which offers an ideal combination of toughness, edge sharpness, and corrosion resistance. Its razor-sharp blade measures 3 inches and comes in satin finish or a fierce black, both of which accessorize nicely with the 4-inch pink nylon handle. Of course, the knife’s pink handle isn’t just for show – its high visibility coloring makes it easy to spot under low light conditions, emergency situations, or at the bottom of your pack.

In hand, the OKC Pink RAT II has tremendous balance and offers ergonomic design that fits comfortably in a woman’s palm. The OKC Pink RAT II Folder features a liner lock for a very secure open-blade position and an ambidextrous thumb stud for convenient single hand opening with either hand. A four-position clip ensures that the knife can be stowed in just about any position for easy retrieval, whether that is a purse, front pocket, or MOLLE gear.

Whether used for protection or day-to-day tasks, the Pink RAT II is built to the high standards of all OKC knives. It is incredibly durable, lightweight (3.1 ounces) and as solid as its very popular OKC RAT I big brother. If staying under the radar is more your style, the OKC RAT II is also available with a black handle and black blade, or black handle with a satin blade.

Heh. They had to make a pink version. Both Benchmade and Spyderco make pink versions of their popular Mini Grip and Delica lines. Ka-Bar make a pink Dozier Folding Hunter, Kershaw makes pink Chives and Leeks, ESEE makes a pink Izula, etc. If you’ve got $120-$140, you can get a custom Alan Folts Minimalist with pink scales. You see what I’m saying here. 🙂
