LUVERNE, AL --(Ammoland.com)- Mississippi House Bill 2 legalizing Open Carry, has been passed and signed by the Governor.
This means that Mississippi will become an “Open Carry” state as of July 1, 2013.
A carry permit is still required for concealed carry, but this updated bill reinforces the state’s already generous “Castle Doctrine”.
As with any other time Open Carry is in the headlines we need to take a moment to address the situation.
Opponents of Open Carry might consider a few hidden benefits of the new statute to include a expansion of Operation Hippie-Scare.
