IOWA – -(Ammoland.com)- Senator Chuck Grassley has been working tirelessly to defend the 2nd Amendment rights of law abiding citizens and has voluntarily reached out to IFC to share his approach.
He has remained consistent and vigilant in his defense of the 2nd Amendment, while pursuing realistic and constitutionally permissible measures to curtail violent crime.
We’d like to take a moment to thank him for his genuine efforts in communicating with us as well as for his “Nay” votes on the recent rights-restricting Senate legislation.
Divisive Fear-mongering From Some Groups Not Helping the Cause
Unfortunately, certain groups that claim to be “pro-gun” are hindering the effort to advance protections of the 2nd Amendment for all law abiding citizens through their combative tactics of over-the-top, untruthful and melodramatic rhetoric designed to create fear around the issues, rather than a strong, united and well organized effort.
They have gone so far as sending out blast-type emails entitled “Emergency!” and containing the blatant lie that Senator Grassley is “flip-flopping” and failing to oppose Obama’s gun control proposals. Nothing could be further from the truth, as evidenced not only by his recent “Nay” votes in the Senate, but by the fact that his office reached out to IFC, directly communicating with us regarding his proposals.
We at IFC wonder…Why didn’t Senator Grassley’s office choose to contact the other so-called “pro-gun” groups?
We can only speculate that it’s because these groups are spreading disinformation that hinders the advancement of positive protections of law abiding citizens. They appear to wish to engage in nothing more than fund raising and flame-throwing in the easiest, least expensive manner possible – the click of a mouse on an email blast list. This is commonly known as ‘spam’.
While other groups may send many more emails to your already crowded inbox, IFC tries to limit our messages to factual, logical, level-headed information with a direct and easily accessible path for action.
Putting the Focus on President Obama
We at IFC believe the focus needs to be on President Obama, as well as the many outspokenly anti-2nd Amendment legislators – not on a senior Senator with a track record of voting to protect our rights. Senator Grassley has an ‘A’ rating from the NRA, has led the investigation on Fast & Furious and has voluntarily reached out to, and worked closely with, IFC. He is a true ally in our cause and we offer him our support, our counsel and our gratitude.

Thank you for going after the senators who want to be exempt from Obama Care. We must go after people who think it’s okay to have a double standard in our government. How sad that politicians feel they are better than the people who pay their salaries. How do they brush their teeth without a guilty conscience? Funny. When I lived in Iowa I don’t remember him being interested in anything but votes. Im pretty sure if you look under the covers you’ll find he hasn’t changed.
