ACCOKEEK, MD --( Team Benelli 3-Gun shooters enjoyed impressive wins at the nation’s annual Superstition Mountain Mystery 3-Gun Competition.

Team member and lady top-gunner, Katie Harris, led the charge by winning High Lady in Tac-Scope Division.

In Tac-Limited Division, James Casanova led the pack taking first, while other Team Benelli winners in Tac-Limited Division included Chris Sechiatano, taking second, Kurt Miller, fourth and Patrick Kelley placed fifth. Miller was also High Senior in that same division. In Open Division Tony Holmes placed fourth and Taran Butler took fifth in Tac-Scope Division.

“This match has an incredible amount of fast-paced speed stages and is well suited for shooters in the Open Division,” said Tony Holmes, who shoots a Benelli M2 with an integrated XRail system. “With my high-cap setup, I was able to dominate the high-round shotgun stages.

“On the last day the last stage was all shotgun,” Tony described, “Twenty-one targets with 27 rounds in my M2 Benelli was a stage meant for this gun and the XRail. I burnt this stage down in 13 seconds, besting everyone by several seconds. Fractions of seconds often divide scores so mistakes can play heavy in the outcome.”

Hosting more than 350 shooters, the 2013 Superstition Mountain Mystery 3-Gun match was held March 22-24, at the Rio Salado Sportsman Club in Mesa, Arizona. Superstition Mountain is the longest running and considered the most popular 3-Gun match in the USA with a prize table valued at over $300,000. It marked the beginning of the season for the 3-Gun Nation (3GN) Tour.
