Warning to All Gun Bloggers and Firearms Forums – From GunsAmerica Blog

USA --(Ammoland.com)- Please be aware that there are what we call “Bloomberg shills” lurking in the comments of gun blogs and forums at present.

It has been going on since before the election, and we first noticed it as far back as our January 8th, 2012 article “2nd Amendment Voters Should Vote Ron Paul.”

At first it seemed like fun because they got a lively discussion going, and many of our articles have over 400 comments just because of a few anti-gun comments peppered in by a shill here and there. But as more and more of them have come in, we have begun to realize that it is better to delete them.

The anti-gunners have a plan, and that plan is to make gun people look stupid, heartless, and separate from the values of mainstream America. A recent “whistleblower” post about the Boston Marathon explosions is especially troubling.

If you are part of a gun blog or forum, please don’t allow this post to spread, and beware that more attempts to make 2nd Amendment defenders look bad are coming.(Click Here to Read More)

Unless your 10 and new to the internet, you should be aware that half the commenters on most sites are shills for the other side, and or internet trolls. Part of why you should never put much stock into whatever comments are being posted, even, or maybe especially, by people like me. Just kidding, I’m a non-shill guy but I do troll some of the liberal sites, and I’m sure they need no warning.

    2. Yeah, this is a very real issue on all sorts of topics. But yeah Bloomie and his minions are out there baiting 2A supporters by pushing their buttons as well as propagandizing. Stay cool and aware and arm yourselves with the facts.

    3. Okay, frankly I’m tired of my gun community spewing profanities and acting like school children with rampant name calling and insulting labels. Let’s agree that we all need to communicate like adults, put forth common sense ideas for any problems we face so we can further our freedoms and constitutional protections.

Conversely, I’m tired of people on BOtH sides of this issue using language online that you would never use to someone’s face…. Terms like libtard, gun nut, communist, socialist, gun toting trailer park resident…etc…etc….

Seriously, when educated people see this type of stuff online…..you actually LOSE credibility and nobody will listen to you. THAT is the problem, we need to EDUCATE non gun owners….and to do that, they need to listen……

    4. I see this pretty clearly and have been dealing with one guy in particular who has been copy-pasting about a half-dozen different posts on msn, and on craigslist under politics in almost every progun state out there. I think he might be trolling, dunno, but here:

      http://akroncanton.craigslist.org/pol/3745421577.html

Look at some of his other posts and then copy his term “anti-gov gun freaks” and do an exact search (keep the quotes), you’ll find him all over the web.

WIKI has an informative page on the Chinese 50 Cent Party,
“The 50 Cent Party are Internet commentators (网络评论员, 網絡評論員, wǎngluò pínglùn yuán) hired by the government of the People’s Republic of China (both local and central) or the Communist Party to post comments favorable towards party policies in an attempt to shape and sway public opinion on various Internet message boards. The commentators are said to be paid fifty cent of RMB for every post that either steers a discussion away from anti-party or sensitive content on domestic websites, bulletin board systems, and chatrooms, or that advances the Communist party line.”
