West Virginia State Senate Shows Their Colors on Gun Rights, Its Not Good

West Virginia –-(Ammoland.com)- The West Virginia Senate could not make more clear their stand against your right to bear arms.

Today, SB435, containing the House preemption amendment was unanimously refused by the Senate.

NOT ONE VOICE could be heard on the Senate audio in support of your rights during the voice vote. Not one.

This indicates that the anti-gun sentiment in the Senate starts with its leadership, Jeff Kessler, continues down through committee chairs like Corey Palumbo and Herb Snyder, and apparently is systemic.

Are you shocked, West Virginia? Are you astonished that the West Virginia Senate stands against your right to bear arms?

Is it such a huge leap to Colorado in light of this refusal to recognize your rights?

Wake up, West Virginia. You have an entire house of your legislature signalling that they’re in lock-step with Feinstein, Obama, Sarah Brady, Mike Bloomberg, and others who want you disarmed and defenseless.

Wake. Up!
What Happens Now?
Now, the bill will go to a conference committee composed of appointees from the House of Delegates and the Senate. In that committee, they will “reconcile their differences.”

What comes out the other side of that committee is anyone’s guess. Rest assured that the Senate committee appointees appointed by Jeff Kessler (D-Marshall) will be fighting tooth and nail to strip you of your rights. We have some assurances from the House of Delegates and Rick Thompson (D-Wayne) that the House appointees will fight for our rights.

There is limited time in this session. It is anyone’s guess as to the outcome.

Food for Thought
I have personal friends in Colorado who five years ago, would never have believed it could happen to them.

Think about that.

We all have our demons which add commonly refered to as liberals, even here in the The Lone Star state. We are however working to exorcise our demons. Keep up the fight

Well, no reason for Magpul or Beretta to move to WV now, they’d just be packing up and moving again. Seems the only state with any “gonads” is TX. It’s gonna end up being more then just the Lone Star State, it’s gonna be the Lone State against all this madness.

Well that can be held up as a reason to oppose all of those members in 2014. I would be nice to run against one of those pieces of trash on that single cowardly voice vote. It would be devastating. Call and let them know what they are looking at in the next election, and tell them what you really think about that voice vote too.

Another state out of the 50 in the Union willing to go down without of fight. It is a shame what is happening in this country! It is hard to believe that a handful of persons in Washington, DC could pull this off in just a couple of years. The states that have fallen recently, who would have guessed that with their rich heritage of firearms and hunting they would have gotten where they are today. Wake up people…..Can’t you see what is happening?
