Connecticut - While the vote to pass expanded background checks and other knee-jerk gun control measures might have failed, the war on gun owners and our industry is far from over.
President Obama, Vice President Biden, Mayor Bloomberg and Senator Schumer have vowed to press on in their fight for tougher gun laws in the months ahead. And they are putting their collective money where their mouths are.
The NSSF PAC wants to ensure their voices are not the only ones the American public hears. Help us take a stand against those who call us liars and villains and want to destroy our firearms freedoms. Support your PAC today!
Mayors Against Illegal Guns, Organizing for Action (President Obama’s lobbying group) and Americans for Responsible Solutions (led by former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and her husband Mark Kelly) are pooling their resources to attack senators who defied them by voting to protect our businesses and livelihoods and uphold the Second Amendment.
These brave senators earnestly listened to and nobly voted in a manner consistent with the will of their constituents. They took an oath to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States” and are now being bullied by a Chicago politician, a New York Senator, a big city mayor and their cronies for abiding by that oath.
Please consider contributing to NSSF PAC to aid our allies in the Senate and in the House who are being blamed by the anti-gun establishment.
Some key anti-gun senators are not discouraged by last week’s votes and are treating this as halftime. They have stated, ”…[W]e’re going to bring this bill back before the end of the year… .” We would be foolish and naive if we did not press on as well.
Your support has been an integral part of getting our message out to those on Capitol Hill and to citizens across the country. We would certainly not have been able to win round 1 without it, but I’m afraid we are not out of the woods yet. The other side is determined, not deterred. We must be more motivated to protect our rights and livelihoods than they are to destroy them.
The NSSF PAC needs your support if we are going to win this legislative battle.
Join those who have already shown their leadership and commitment to promoting, protecting and preserving our hunting and shooting sports heritage and cherished firearms freedoms.

P.S. The NSSF PAC 2012 Year In Review, now available, highlights the PAC’s prior year achievements and its importance in supporting NSSF’s government relations initiatives in ensuring that our industry is not outgunned in the “New Era” of gun control sweeping through Washington, D.C.
The NSSF PAC, the nonpartisan, Federal Election Commission-registered multi-candidate political action committee of the NSSF, is a cornerstone of NSSF’s government relations strategy. Contributions to the NSSF PAC are used for political purposes to support pro-firearms and ammunition industry, pro-Second Amendment and pro-sportsmen candidates on a bipartisan basis for election or re-election to federal office. Contributions are voluntary and individuals may refuse to contribute without reprisal. Contribution amounts stated are merely suggestions — individuals can contribute more or less than suggested. The maximum annual individual contribution is $5,000. The NSSF PAC will not favor or disfavor anyone based on the amount they contribute or decision not to contribute. Contributions from corporations, foreign nationals without permanent U.S. residency, federal government contractors, by persons in the name of another person, or reimbursed contributions are not accepted. Contributions to the NSSF PAC are not deductible for federal income tax purposes as charitable contributions.
