Upgraded Sound Suppressors for the 22LR Made Entirely at the US MasterPiece Arms State-of-the-Art Manufacturing Facility Featuring Advanced Decibel Metering System.
COMER, GA – MasterPiece Arms, manufacturers of the MPA MAC Line of semi-auto submachine pistols and carbines, has upgraded the Sentinel II and Vigilant II from the 22LR MPA suppressor product line.
The upgrades to both models of 22LR sound suppressors include an improvement in baffle design technology, resulting in reduced sound signature, lower first round pop, improved “point of impact” shift, as well as efficient access to the full coaxial volume.
The outer tube has been redesigned to include unique texturing and reduced weight, while the rear cap now has a machined hexagon shape for assistance in removing the suppressor from carbon fouled threads.
The Sentinel II is made from aircraft grade 7075 aluminum while the Vigilant II is made from 304L stainless steel. MasterPiece Arms, a world-class manufacturing facility with over 41 CNC machines and TS16949 Quality Control System, are the sole-source engineers and manufacturers of all of the MPA Sound Suppressors; no components are outsourced.
MasterPiece Arms has recently invested in a new, state-of-the-art Decibel Metering System that was used during testing of the new Sentinel II and Vigilant II sound suppressors. Only a few large suppressor manufacturing companies use this metering system and now Masterpiece Arms can add their name to the list. The software used to test the sound suppressors includes National Instruments NI USB-4432 DAQ, National Instruments Labview Full Development System and National Instruments Sound and Vibration Toolkit. The microphone included in the test was a GRAS ¼” Microphone Type 40BD with Preamplifier 26CB with TEDS info. Finally, the calibrator used was a GRAS Model 42AB 1khz, 114 DB. Masterpiece Arms sound suppressors all offer the user the low decibel reading on the MPA test equipment under the most ideal testing parameters providing for a comfortable sound experience.
Sentinel II The Sentinel II l is a .22 suppressor in a K-baffle design with seven baffles made from 7075 aircraft grade aluminum. The super-tight tolerances are held throughout the manufacturing process. The front and rear caps, plus the outer tube are hard coated in an anodized black for anti-reflection and anti-corrosion. The new and improved suppressor is laser engraved and includes a unique MPA texturing on the outer tube. It has a decibel rating of 116.4 (10 shot weighted average using NI Labview Software / GRAS ¼” MICs). The Sentinel II weighs just 3 ounces and is 5.7inches in length and 1 inch in diameter. Vigilant II The Vigilant II, a .22LR suppressor, is similar in design to the Sentinel II, but is machined from 304L stainless steel and full auto rated in 22LR only. The polished outer tube, front and rear caps are also made from 304L stainless steel. It is laser engraved and includes a unique MPA texturing on the outer tube. It has a decibel rating of 116.4 (10 shot weighted average using NI Labview Software / GRAS ¼” MICs). The Vigilant II weighs 7.4 ounces and measures 5.7 inches with a 1 inch diameter. This suppressor is rated for applications in .22LR, 17HMR and 22 WMR. Spanner wrench included. MSRP is $325.99.
