New Berlin, Wis. --(Ammoland.com)- To say the Prieferts have a ‘hog problem’ is saying it mildly; but this week, they are taking matters to the treestands and they brought cowboy poet Baxter Black with them.

Black was in town for a local performance, but of course he has time to squeeze in a hog hunt. Tune in to Priefterts Backwoods Bloodline exclusively on Sportsman Channel this Thursday, August 15 at 7 pm ET/PT to see how successful the whole gang is in eradicating hogs from their ranches. Check out a sneak peek here.

“Baxter was only in for a short time, but he wanted to go out to the ranch to see what he could get done,” said Eddie Priefert, host. “He talked more than he hunted, but that’s just Baxter.”

Eddie personally got Black out for a spot and stalk hog hunt in the low light of the morning. Black set up at 300 yards out and sighted in the hog, but ended up not pulling the trigger due to the poor conditions.

“I’ve been lion hunting and fishing for crappie, all the big things,” said Baxter Black at the end of the hunt. “But this is absolutely the best hog hunt I’ve ever been on and I want to go on more just to see if I can better this one. How would I make it better? I’d pull the trigger next time.”
