USA –-(Ammoland.com)- Many of us own Remington 870 shotguns, and if you don’t own an 870 then chances are you own a Mossberg 500.

But today, we focus on a new product out on the market, a Remington 870 bullpup conversion kit from a company called Bullpup Unlimited.

From the Bullpup Unlimited website.

The founder is a 26 year law enforcement veteran who has since retired. He has always been a fan of bullpup shotguns and has a sizable personal collection. But he wanted to take a Remington 870 and somehow turn it into a bullpup.

Seeing as no one on the market did this, he tapped into his American entrepreneurial spirit and decided to figure it out on his own.

The result is what you see here:

An 18″ barrel is the minimum required length, and 12 gauge only. No 3.5″ models or ribbed barrels will work with the Bullpup Unlimited kit.

Here’s what the conversion process looks like:

The cost is $359.00 plus shipping and sales tax. No FFL is required and you have to BYO Remington 870. They are currently backordered one week, and as they continue to get more exposure, we might see that wait time increase over time.

Probably a question asked a million times but here it goes:

Will this fit an 870 20Ga Shotgun?
If not, will there be a 20Ga kit available in the future?

Ethan Mayo

Yes it will, it is an 870. 12 gauge is the largest round it can take, soooooooo… 20 is smaller (ur starting to get it now right?) therefore it will fit inside of this product

According to the website, these components utilize a fiber reinforced polymer similar to what is used by other manufacturers of handgun and other small arms frames. Threaded brass inserts are molded in to assure solid mating between components. Fit and finish are top quality. While I’m no gunsmith, I was able to make the conversion in about an hour, and that included dissassembling my 870. The finished product is quite impressive. The conversion shaves off 10… Read more »
