WEST HARTFORD, Conn. –-(Ammoland.com)- Colt is proud to announce sponsored shooter Clint Upchurch is closing out another successful season of 3-Gun competition.

Upchurch is currently ranked sixth in the 3-Gun Nation (3GN) Pro Series Tour, assuring him a spot at the 3GN Pro Series Championship, Rumble on the Range, during the SHOT Show in Las Vegas.

“Clint has had yet another outstanding season in the ever-growing 3-Gun competition series,” said Joyce Rubino, Vice President of Marketing for Colt. “We are extremely proud of his accomplishments, notably the fact that he has placed in the top 10 of every 3-Gun Nation Pro Series match this year; a feat that only three other competitors have accomplished. We wish him all the best at Rumble on the Range.”

In the 3GN Pro Series, Clint’s top 10 finishes include sixth place at Event #1, ninth place at Event #2, tenth place at Event #3 and ninth place at Event #4. His combined points from three events are 273.32, placing him sixth out of 54 Pro Series competitors.

“This season has been exciting, challenging and extremely competitive,” said Upchurch. “I am proud to be in the top ten of the 3GN Pro Series, amongst some outstanding shooters. As the year winds down I plan to keep practicing for Rumble on the Range and successfully close out the 2013 season.”

Upchurch has also had great success in matches outside of the 3GN Pro Series. Last month he placed first in both the Open and Combined Divisions at the Tarheel 3-Gun Clinton House September Match. He outpaced his closest competition by 12.81 seconds. In August Upchurch competed in the AR15.com Rockcastle Pro Am 3 Gun Championship held in Park City, Ky. Here he placed fourth in the Open Division.

Earlier this year, Upchurch again teamed up with Brownells-sponsored Noveske shooting team members Jansen Jones and Rob Romero for the Colt 3-Man 3-Gun Championship. Team Colt-Noveske finished in second place overall in stage one of the competition and first place at stage two at the Peacemaker National Training Center.

For the second year in a row he placed first in April’s Bushmaster Tarheel 3-Gun Open Division by a margin of more than 25 percent, beating out a field of some 250 competitors.

Clint’s final competition of 2013 will be the Southeast 3-Gun Championship on December 7 and 8 at Legion OTG in Blakely, Ga.
