NYC Residents Continue Receiving Gun Confiscation Letters

BELLEVUE, WA –-(Ammoland.com)- According to multiple reports, residents of New York City have started receiving letters demanding they must surrender their rifles and/or shotguns to the authorities. According to NYC Administrative Code 10-306-(b) it is illegal to possess a rifle or shotgun that can hold more than five rounds.

These letters are only being sent to residents of New York City but it is a concern they could soon be sending similar letters to the entire state of New York. The passing of the SAFE act makes it illegal for every resident of New York to carry firearms with more than seven rounds in a magazine even if their magazine holds ten rounds.

New York City showed that they will first ban the amount of ammunition you can put in a gun and soon after will ban the type of gun capable of holding more ammunition. Let’s make sure the state of New York does not follow suit.

We must demand every one of our State Governors do not sign anymore anti-gun proposals into laws. They are the last defense for our states and must protect our Second Amendment rights along with the interest of their state’s citizens.

Below is an excerpt of what the letter demands of the gun owner:

1. Immediately surrender your Rifle and/or Shotgun to your local police precinct, and notify this office of the invoice number. The firearm may be sold or permanently removed from the City of New York thereafter.

2. Permanently remove your Rifle and/or Shotgun from New York City…

[…]

3. You may call to discuss the matter if you believe your firearm is in compliance, or you may request the option to bring your firearm to a licensed gunsmith for a permanent modification and certification proving that it is permanently modified and in compliance.

An actual picture of the sent letter is pictured above. This is what every gun owner fears will show up in their mailbox one day.

It does not matter to these gun grabbers if your gun holds 1, 5, 10, 30 or 100 rounds of ammunition. Their tactic is to reduce our options down until we can legally own almost no firearms and eventually will lead to confiscation which we can now see plain as day is what happened in New York City.

We must demand our states steer clear of actions that are happening in the state of New York. Our State Governors are the last line of defense when a new law is being proposed. If our Governors do not sign these proposed laws they can never exist in our states. Demand our State Governors side with the patriots of this country and demand they protect our Second Amendment Rights!

It is no surprise what New York Senator Chuck Schumer said in a recent press conference:

“So we’re going to pass this law. We are going to finish the job and pass background checks and then move on and do other things we have to do to get guns off the streets and stop gun violence.”

It is apparent what lies at the top of New York’s agenda at every level. Taking our guns away is clearly the goal in New York City and all throughout the rest of the state. There were already restrictions on the types of firearms you can own. Then the state passed the SAFE act which limited the amount of rounds you can put in a magazine, even if your magazine holds ten rounds. Now we hear that in New York City they are demanding residents surrender those firearms capable of holding more than five rounds.

Gun advocates are called paranoid and delusional when we say if we ever gave the gun grabbers an inch they would take a mile. The gun grabbers try to charm the nation when they say, “We just want a compromise, and just a small bit of gun control will help.” Once they get that it would be on to the next compromise until they are sending out letters demanding we turn in our guns, OR ELSE!

We must continue to make a difference in each and every one of our states. When we band together we cannot be stopped. Anti-gun efforts bring in more than five times the money that we do every day but we continually knock down their anti-Second Amendment agenda.

We need to remember that when our Government was formed and our Constitution was written it was designed to give the states, not the Government, the power to decide for themselves. In a time where Government is growing exponentially it is important to remember that our state can control its own destiny and does not have to follow in the footsteps of big brother.

Since the re-election of Obama there has been constant pressure and threats toward our Second Amendment. The only way to counteract these threats is for Law Abiding gun owners to stand up against them. We must let our State Governors know we do not support any of these proposed anti-gun laws. We voted them in office, they work for us, and they need to protect the rights of our United States’ law abiding citizens.

WE HAVE A LOT OF WORK TO DO AND WE NEED YOUR HELP.

SELECT HERE TO FAX ALL 50 STATE GOVERNORS AND DEMAND THEY ROTECT OUR SECOND AMENDMENT RIGHTS!

Sincerely yours,
Alan M. Gottlieb

If NYC can selectively nullify the 2nd Amendment, then any city and state can also selectively nullify any parts of Obamacare.

They can’t send the letters out to “gang-bangers” or thugs; because THEY all work for Bloomberg, Chucky, or Finklesteiner!

Bob Lawson

Did anyone really have any doubt that they would confiscate them as soon as they got them registered? History teaches us that this is how it works: Legislation + Registration = Confiscation. Russia, Germany, England, Australia and the list goes on. It is said that Admiral Yamamoto of the Imperial Japanese Navy remarked that no country would ever occupy the US because there would be a rifle behind every blade of grass. (That is paraphrased.) Liberals say that there is no proof that he said it, but there is no proof that he didn’t say it, either. Recall that Liberals… Read more »

What’s happening in NYC is proof positive of the following formula: Legislation + Registration = Confiscation.

Do they send the letter out to gang bangers with illegal weapons?
