I have two of armalites rifles, the 15 and the 10a and I have nothing but good things to say about them,as for the 10rnd mags I just picked up some 30s for the 15,as for the 10a ,I dont want more than a 10rnd 308 rnds get real heavy.

I wouldn’t pay nearly $1500 for a rifle that doesn’t come with a couple of 30 round MagPul magazines. “One 10 round magazine” is an insult with all the anti-2A crap going on right now. The 30 round magazine is “STANDARD CAPACITY”, not “high capacity” as the anti-2A crowd likes to call them. The 10 round are “reduced capacity” in my opinion.

Ar’s are nice I even own one! but my first choice out the door will be my m1 garand! Capacity is really irrelevant with an accurate rifle!

David – TXGnr, This particular rifle is designed for accuracy competition, not combat — although it can certainly handle that as well. Your angst about the magazine is simply solved:get aome aftermarket mags like you would anyway and stop your whining. The AR in AR-15 stands for Armalite Rifle. They designed the beast and sold rights to Colt. They know what they are doing. Let it rest, gentlemen. There is no hint of deception in ght longer mag … just a tip of the hat to aesthetics. Or are you intending to become “professionally offended” by anything in the firerms… Read more »

I actually prefer a 10rd pmag for range use on my AR’s that run magnified optics. Sometimes the 30 round pmags just get in the way when you’re trying to punch paper at distance…

David343, I’m with you. The interesting thing is that the magazine in the picture must be a 20 or 30 round mag modified to hold only 10 rounds. Kind of deceiving if you ask me.

David343

Included with rifle: one ten round magazine. What good is that? I won’t buy a rifle if it doesn’t come with at least one 30 round mag. It’s the principle of it, if a manufacturer has no balls I don’t want to depend on their product or support their bottom line.
