A native of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Britney has been a participant in the hunting and shooting communities her entire life.
In addition to her work as a columnist and managing editor at The Women’s Outdoor News, Britney is also part owner of Starr & Bodill African Safaris. She received a Bachelor’s degree in journalism from Western Michigan University in 2008, and has been published in American Hunter, GunUp, African Hunting Gazette and The Daily Caller. Moving seamlessly through the different segments of the shooting world, Britney is as comfortable stalking plains game in Africa as she is shooting her way through the “Funhouse” at Gunsite Academy, and as comfortable with a firearm as she is with a Word document.
“I am humbled by Galco’s decision to sponsor my ‘ShootingStarr’ column at The Women’s Outdoor News,” said Britney. “Galco represents the highest in quality and performance holsters the industry has to offer, and I’m honored to be its first sponsored columnist.”
“Galco has a number of quality products tailored specifically for women, many that I have personally tested. In one instance, I offered my feedback to the Galco team, who then made modifications to the product accordingly. This is an action that speaks to Galco’s eagerness to support female gun owners,” Britney continued.
“This summer, I had the pleasure of visiting Galco’s facility and witnessed firsthand the quality of craftsmanship on which this 45-year-old company built its foundation. Galco’s products are constructed by using a blend of old-world techniques and modern technology that positions them high above the competition,” said Britney.
