NEWTOWN, Conn --(Ammoland.com)- At last official estimate prior to the Dec. 31 midnight deadline, more than 30,000 Connecticut residents had submitted paperwork reporting that they own at least one modern sporting rifle, while another 17,000 declared they owned magazines with more than a 10-round capacity, according to the state’s largest newspaper.
Long lines were experienced at Connecticut State Police headquarters in Middletown early this week as state gun owners sought to comply with new gun laws.
