(AmmoLand.com) SCI members who can’t attend the 42nd Annual Hunters’ Convention can still get great deals at SCI auctions and support the club and its missions by bidding online during the auctions. Online bidders will be able to bid on the same great hunts, art, and firearms usually reserved for convention attendees.
“We are excited to be able to offer to SCI members the ability to participate in our famous Convention auctions even if they are unable to attend the Convention in person,” said Libby Grimes, SCI Convention Director. “Members can go online and view the items that will be for sale at the different auctions and decide which ones they would like to bid on. Then when the auctions start, they can participate in the auction online.”
An SCI member number is the key to bidding remotely on items offered for sale at SCI’s daily live and evening auctions. If you are not an SCI member, you can join by going to http://member.scifirstforhunters.org/join/ .
To view the items online that will be up for auction, interested bidders can go to http://auction.safariclub.org/auctionlist.aspx. Once on the site, members use their member number to register to bid. Interested bidders will then be able to watch the auctions live on the SCI simulcast feed and bid along with fellow SCI members in the auction room.
Auction policies should be reviewed and understood before bidding. Auction policies can be downloaded at http://auction.safariclub.org/policy.aspx.
