SIG SAUER

EXETER, NH --(Ammoland.com)- SIG SAUER, a long-time supporter of military and law enforcement veterans, has joined forces with the Honored American Veterans Afield (HAVA) organization to help wounded servicemen and women return to outdoor activities.

SIG SAUER is committing a portion of sales from the company’s new SB15 Pistol Stabilizing Brace to HAVA. Designed by a veteran for a disabled colleague, the SB15 allows those with reduced upper body strength to enjoy shooting pistol versions of the AR-15 platform. To date, this program has far exceeded expectations and continues to grow.

“HAVA has been at the forefront of helping American servicemen and women get back into the shooting sports, and we’re huge supporters of this effort,” said Bud Fini, SIG SAUER Vice President of Marketing.

“We’ve seen firsthand the positive impact from getting these veterans back to the activities they love and we’re just thrilled to be able to help this program.”

Launched in 2007 by a group of shooting sports industry executives, HAVA assists disabled combat veterans return to an active life by helping them reconnect with the outdoor activities they enjoyed before their injuries.

“SIG SAUER has been a supporter of HAVA, going back to some of the first range events,” said Tom Taylor, HAVA’s Chief Executive Officer.

“We’ve always thought the SIG brand was a perfect fit for the wounded warriors we serve. And now they are a HAVA sponsor at the highest level with financial support, firearms, volunteers, and a product that is functional for disabled shooters.”

As a sustaining sponsor, SIG SAUER will provide firearms for HAVA range events and hunts, as well as certificates for fundraising raffles. SIG SAUER staff will be available to help out during range days. When available, SIG SAUER shooting team captain Max Michel, a longtime volunteer, will make appearances to help coach HAVA participants.
