EXETER, NH –-(Ammoland.com)- SIG SAUER introduces a .22LR variant to the Classic P232 pistol, offering shooters a less expensive option with significant design enhancements.
The new SIG SAUER P232-22 features an American (side) magazine release, external slide stop, ambidextrous manual safety and threaded barrel.
Featuring the same sleek lines as the original, the P232-22 gives operators the ability to practice with the same size, similar weight, DA/SA trigger and frame mounted decocking lever of the standard P232. Light-recoiling .22LR is also a great choice for new shooters.
The P232-22 comes standard with a threaded barrel and would be perfectly paired with the SIG-SD .22LR silencer.. Contrast sights and an all-black frame and slide finish round out the package.

I have ordered one through my dealer but when will it be available? Three months ago I was told it would be out in 6-8 weeks.
I will be the first to buy this pistol- I predict this will be a huge success for Sig- as long as they build it with the quality of the 230’s and 232- chambered in .380- If they farm this out like they did with the Mosquito- I will be very disappointed-
With a threaded barrel can the gun be sold in New York State? Is a non-threaded barrel available with the gun?
