Temecula, Calif. --(Ammoland.com)- Outdoor Channel, America’s Leader In Outdoor TV; Mike Pawlawski, host of “Gridiron Outdoors with Mike Pawlawski”; and Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer.
“Gridiron Outdoors with Mike Pawlawski” invites current and retired football players and coaches on adventures that take them into the wild or on the water to experience the joys of hunting and fishing. The common ground is that all of the guests excelled in their actions on the gridiron; however, not all are veterans of the outdoors.
With its third season underway on Outdoor Channel, the riveting TV series is excited to welcome back Urban Meyer, a legend in the NCAA football community. Last year, Urban and his son Nate joined host Mike Pawlawski on the emerald waters of Key West. The team chartered a boat and successfully fished tarpon, shark, barracuda and black jack as viewers were provided with a unique look into the coach’s life away from the sidelines.
This go around, Urban, Nate and Mike venture to the Abacos Islands in the Bahamas for the bonefishing adventure of a lifetime. The episode features a super rare one-on-one sit-down with the coach where he tackles what fishing, football and family mean to him. The coach even provides insight into his recruiting methodology and why his approach is so successful.
Watch Urban Meyer’s Outdoor Channel return, as he provides viewers with an exclusive glimpse into his life away from the sidelines. He not only makes parallels between fishing, football and family, he also provides intel on his game plan approach, all during an exhilarating bonefish excursion in the so-called “ghost of the flats.” The episode is about more than just fishing as a popular sport, it captures how the spirit of the outdoors brings people closer together.
The “Gridiron Outdoors” episode with Urban and Nate Meyer will air on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. ET / 7:00 p.m. CT.
