Pheasants Forever

Milwaukee, Wis.– -(Ammoland.com)-Pheasants Forever will welcome Wisconsin’s First District Congressman Paul Ryan to its National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic event on Saturday, February 15thin Milwaukee. Ryan will deliver the keynote address at the conservation organization’s national banquet. National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic runs February 14-16 at the Wisconsin Center.

“I’m looking forward to speaking at this year’s event,” Congressman Paul Ryan said. “I’m a big outdoorsman, so I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my thoughts on how we can preserve our nation’s wildlife habitats.”

“On behalf of Pheasants Forever’s 140,000 members nationwide, including our 33 chapters and 9,000 members in Wisconsin, we’re honored to welcome Congressman Ryan to Pheasants Forever’s signature annual gathering,” says Dave Nomsen, Pheasants Forever’s Vice President of Governmental Affairs, “Having served as Co-Chair of the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus, he’s been supportive of many conservation measures. He also brings valuable perspective on how Congress can better serve wildlife and habitat in these times of shrinking federal conservation spending.”

Pheasants Forever’s national banquet will be held at the Wisconsin Center Ballroom CD (1st floor). Doors open at 6 pm with dinner at 7:30 pm. National Pheasant Fest and Quail Classic 2014 presented by MidwayUSA combines a national consumer show, habitat seminar series and family event complete with puppies, tractors, shotguns and art. This annual gathering has grown into the nation’s largest event for upland hunters, farmers, sport dog owners and wildlife habitat conservationists.

Pheasants Forever, including its quail conservation division, Quail Forever, is the nation’s largest nonprofit organization dedicated to upland habitat conservation. Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever have more than 140,000 members and 745 local chapters across the United States and Canada. Chapters are empowered to determine how 100 percent of their locally raised conservation funds are spent, the only national conservation organization that operates through this truly grassroots structure.
