Washington DC - -(  On February 12th 2014, former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin was found guilty on 20 of 21 corruption charges, including bribery, wire fraud, money laundering, and false tax return charges.

In total, The Times-Picayune reports, Nagin was found guilty of one count of conspiracy with a maximum prison term of five years, five counts of bribery with a maximum prison term of ten years for each count, nine counts of wire fraud with a maximum prison term of ten or twenty years for each, one count of money laundering with a maximum prison term of ten years, and four counts of filing a false tax return with a maximum prison term of three years for each count.

Nagin “will remain free on bond as he awaits sentencing [but] will have to submit to home monitoring.”

American Thinker reports how Nagin infamously joined with Police Superintendent P. Edwin Compass to order the confiscation of civilian firearms in the wake of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, effectively leaving trapped residents at the mercy of marauding bands of looters and attackers.

The confiscation order clearly stated, “We will take all weapons. Only law enforcement will be able to have guns.”

This traitor, and public threat deserves to be treated as such.

    2. It’s been a tough week for Democratic mayors. Nagin from New Orleans and the other guilty one from Trenton, New Jersey? And let’s not forget about the snow removal debacle in Atlanta, Georgia.

    3. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha (pause for breath) hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    4. Guys like Nagin relay their one sided agendas with comments like “Chocolate City”. A few years back a mayor in Philadelphia, after being elected, said “the brothers and sisters are in charge”.

    5. Sometimes god lets us see his Justice and sometimes we have to know it will have to wait till the afterlife. I like to say, “What go’s around , come’s around SUCKA”
