Winter Park, CO –-(Ammoland.com)-  ARMagLock is a new patent pending AR-15 fixed magazine & release solution that helps New York, California, Connecticut and newly proposed Rhode Island owners to avoid assault weapon firearm registration within their respective states, and stay compliant with the laws.

New York and Connecticut laws have already been passed and the California Legislature is on the verge of passing a law mandating registration of all assault weapons.

On October 14, 2014, SB 47 will require that all assault weapons owners register their firearms with the CA DOJ, to include all firearms with the magazine locking devices requiring a tool or bullet to remove the magazine. The registration shall contain a description of the firearm that identifies it uniquely, including all identification marks, the full name, address, date of birth, and thumbprint of the owner, and any other information that the department may deem appropriate.

These new laws apply to rifles that do not have a fixed magazine. The laws define “fixed magazine” as an ammunition feeding device contained in, or permanently attached to, a firearm in such a manner that the device cannot be removed without disassembly of the firearm action. AR-15 owners now have to disassemble their firearm action in order to release the magazine. This wording essentially renders other magazine locking devices useless.

Just to be sure there is no confusion, the new CA law states (b) (1) Any person who, from January 1, 2001, to December 31, 2013, inclusive, lawfully possessed an assault weapon that does not have a fixed magazine, as defined in Section 30515, including those weapons with an ammunition feeding device that can be removed readily from the firearm with the use of a tool, shall register the firearm before July 1, 2015. See here for exact wording of the law:

SB 47 – https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/billNavClient.xhtml?bill_id=201320140SB47

The ARMagLock turns your firearm into a “fixed magazine” firearm that can not release the magazine unless you pull the takedown pin, and separate the upper and lower receivers, thus “disassembling” the firearm action. Once the receivers are minimally separated, the ARMagLock can be engaged to release the magazine.

Courtney Harris is the original inventor of the ARMagLock concept and owner of the patent application US 13/803,966, which was filed on 3/14/13 and publicly published on 10/17/13, which can be verified on the on the Google Patents website at: https://www.google.com/patents/US20130269232.

Mr. Harris has saved many AR-15 owners from registration and was quoted as stating, “I invented and engineered the fixed magazine lock & release kit for the AR-15 with the sole purpose of saving all of my fellow AR-15 buddies the heartache of having to submit every last piece of their personal information to the government, just so they can own something that is a constitutional right. With my patent pending product, AR-15 owners now feel much more confident they are conforming to new fixed magazine laws, and not have to register their firearm”.

We have to take back our country. I don’t mean by violence, but through election. We already have a president who thinks he is a King we don’t need an other. He is destroying the constitution. New York has an other one Como thinks he is god. The gun laws these two pass are not helping only hurting.

America is “circling the drain”. It’s time to turn off the computer and TV. It’s time to get off the couch.

“Bullet buttons,” “mag locks,” California needs to do what NY is doing right now, burning their d*mn registration forms. This is getting to the point where the only alternative to an out of control, tyrannical govt is 1776.

I like AR MR2 better. It’s been out for over a year, and their customer service is top notch!

This is not America. When are we going to stop bending over ?

Gotta agree with Robert Fowler. I will not be altering my firearms for that fish faced prick in Albany. When they come for me, I hope Cuomo is leading the pack. Come and get them, you lilly livered, slack jawed, soap dropping POS.

No doubt the idiots who keep pushing the limits of the law abiding citizen will not stop until they get what they really want, full registration of every firearm owned by law abiding citizens.

Note: California SB47 has not been passed or signed into law in California. The hearing has been postponed as of Aug. 30, 2013.

One again, SB 47 has not passed through the Assembly and is not law in California.

But beware that Yee, DeLeon, Leno and Steinburg will do everything they can to reintroduce this bill and any other bill they can think of that will confiscate your guns.

Robert Fowler

Here’s a better idea. Tell them to go f themselves. Molon Labe.

SB-47 did not pass last year or the year before. Bullet buttons are still legal in CA. Will the bill be re-introduced this year? It depends on how stupid Sen Yee wants to be. Does he want to run for another office as he is termed out this year. The CA Lefties alwys take a softer tone when they have to run or rerun for office.
