Honolulu, HI --(Ammoland.com)-  Honolulu City and County Council holds hearings on the City Budget this week. On the Agenda for Thursday, March 13, is the City’s Parks and Recreation Department Budget.

There is an item for planning, design, and construction of capital improvement projects for Koko Head District Park, including further safety improvements to the ranges, starting in 2014 and continuing through 2018, with over $1 million asked.

Honorable Chair Ann Kobayashi, Vice Chair Stanley Chang, and Members Carol Fukunafa, Joey Manahan, and Kimberly Marcos Pine.

Please accept my written testimony for the hearing agenda item for Thursday, March 13, the City’s Parks and Recreation Department Budget, in support of the budget Proj. No. 1976022, Koko Head District Park Capitol Improvements, Project No. 1976022. Koko Head Shooting Complex needs more safety improvements to bring it into the modern era of range design and so ensure its continued operation.
