“In 2013 we laid out a plan to grow our business and we acquired four completely different and highly respected businesses that fit precisely with our mission of saving lives,” said Scott O’Brien, President of The Safariland Group.

“The addition of these brands allows us to further expand our offerings to our military and law enforcement customers worldwide as a complement to our current established brands.”

The Med-Eng brand is the leading global brand of explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) equipment. An established brand for more than 30 years, Med-Eng is the world market leader for suits and helmets for EOD, bomb disposal and tactical teams, as well as for crew survivability products for the military.  The Med-Eng brand will be featuring the new multi-mission TAC 6 suit and visor ensemble for tactical officers.

Mustang Survival will be exhibiting an integrated flotation and armored vest system as part of its 2014 line up at IWA. This system continues to support maritime tactical operations by combining the Mustang Survival MD3196 Compact Tactical Life Preserver for Law Enforcement with the PROTECH Tactical APV Tactical Armored Vest to provide flotation safety to the operator in the event of a man overboard situation.

The Safariland Ballistics International (SBI) carriers are created by designers acquired from a 2013 Arveka acquisition and ballistics developed by SBI experts, the SBI brand delivers innovative and quality armor designs for the international market.  Featuring an array of purpose-built carriers to suit any on-duty needs, the SBI line features eight unique carrier models that are categorized by three specific functional needs – Covert, Multi-Purpose and Overt – and are designated to accommodate ballistic packages precisely developed to meet or exceed various European VPAM, SK, HOSDB and United States NIJ standards.

The Tactical Communication Industries (TCI) brand is a communications integration business focused on tactical communications systems, including customized and commercial off-the-shelf headsets and audio solutions.  Since 1996, skilled operators have been at the forefront of TCI’s product development programs and are adept at both small custom integration projects as well as large defence procurement opportunities. Featured at IWA will be a wide variety of premier tactical communication solutions for practically any tactical military, defense, security or law enforcement team worldwide.
