Arizona -(Ammoland.com)- There are still a few spots open for the April 25-27 Becoming and Outdoors-Woman Workshop at Friendly Pines Camp in Prescott.
There are more than 30 courses to choose from, including in outdoor photography, birding, hiking and horsemanship. Archery, fly-fishing, Dutch oven cooking, shotgun, rifle, and pistol shooting are also offered.
The workshop introduces women to outdoors skills in an enjoyable, non-threatening environment with expert instructors.
Classes are held during the day, and the evenings are filled with fun and entertainment like night hikes, fly tying, and motivational speakers.
“BOW is about much more than hunting and fishing or even camping and paddling,” says Linda Dightmon, coordinator for the program. “It is all about learning to appreciate our wild lands and wildlife and how to help conserve them. It’s about learning a new skill or conquering an old fear. It’s about meeting like-minded women and making new friends. It could be all about learning a lot more about you.”
The $245 all-inclusive price includes class materials, food and lodging. Rustic cabins with showers and bathrooms make for a comfortable weekend stay. For more information, a schedule of classes and a registration form contact the Arizona Wildlife Federation office:
