ACCOKEEK, MD –-(Ammoland.com)- Team Benelli 3-Gun shooters enjoyed impressive wins at the nation’s annual Superstition Mountain Mystery 3-Gun Competition.

In Tactical-Limited Division Patrick Kelley led the pack taking first, while James Casanova came in right behind Kelley to take second place.

Taran Butler placed second in Open Division and Keith Garcia placed fourth in Tactical Optics Division. Dianna Liedorff led the women’s charge by winning High Lady in the same division with Janna Reeves ranking second behind Liedorff.

“It feels great to win my first major 3-gun event for the season,” said Patrick Kelley. “The competition was fierce with the top three competitors in Tactical Limited Division finishing within one percent of each other. My hat is off to my fellow team member James Casanova for posting second and my local shooting partner Carl Carbon for driving into third.”

“My Benelli M2 ran flawlessly in the desert heat and sand,” said James Casanova. “I burned through over 150 rounds of birdshot and slugs and my Benelli just kept firing—a winning combo to be sure.”

“This was a very technical match, but with everything going on it was also a real mental game,” Dianna Liedorff described. “I am totally stoked about the way my Benelli M2 performed for my first Outlaw match and was extremely pleased to take High-Lady in the rugged desert conditions.”

Hosting more than 350 shooters, the 2014 Superstition Mountain Mystery 3-Gun match was held March 28-30, at the Rio Salado Sportsman Club in Mesa, Arizona. With a prize table valued at over $370,000, Superstition Mountain is considered the most popular and longest running 3-Gun match in the USA. It’s also the “Season Opener” for the Outlaw (non-3 Gun Nation) events.
