The second place entry, titled This Show is for the Birds, aired in December of 2013 and juxtaposed an overview of the Audubon Christmas Bird Count across the Northwest with a field hunt for geese in Washington State’s Columbia Basin with Meseberg Guided Adventures.

Both shows aired on Northwestern Outdoors Radio, a weekend show that is one of the five most widely distributed outdoors radio shows in the nation.

John Kruse is the host and producer of the hour long show that covers fishing, hunting, wildlife and a wide variety of outdoor recreational topics within the Northwestern United States.

Additional information about Northwestern Outdoors Radio, now broadcast 65 times a week on 55 stations across Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana, can be found at www.northwesternoutdoors.com.
