Columbia, MO -(Ammoland.com)– Shooting teams with active accounts within the MidwayUSA Foundation Team Endowment Account Program will see an increase in their account thanks to a recent donation made by the Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation (SSSF).
The donation of $350,250 will be divided among 100 teams. SSSF is an educational-athletic organization that exists to introduce youth to shooting sports through their Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) and their Scholastic Pistol Program (SPP), as well as the governing body for shooting competitions.
Ben Berka, SSSF President and Executive Director spoke about the donation. “SSSF is pleased to support these teams by providing endowment account contributions through the first quarter this year. The recipient teams in the SCTP and the SPP have worked hard to earn this funding and we are very proud to support them.
SSSF contributions to team endowment accounts for 2014 are just beginning, as we plan to return an additional $1.4 million through SCTP and SPP state, regional and national championship events!”
The MidwayUSA Foundation helps communities and organizations raise funds to support their high school, college and other youth shooting teams and activities. This donation brings youth involved in shooting sports, particularly the over 3,000 that have Team Endowment Accounts with the MidwayUSA Foundation, closer to sustainable support.
Active teams, like the 100 that will receive this donation, are eligible to draw a grant each year to assist with team expenses, such as ammunition, range fees, travel, uniforms and more.
