BELLEVUE, WA –-(Ammoland.com)- I would like to invite you to our 29th annual Gun Rights Policy Conference (GRPC) which will be taking place September 26, 27 and 28, 2014 at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare Airport hotel in Chicago, Illinois.

This is your once-a-year chance to network, get an insider’s look, and plan pro-gun rights strategies for the coming year.

Past GRPC’s have outlined victory plans and made public the latest firearms trends. They allow you a first-hand chance to hear movement leaders–and make your voice heard.

Conference attendance is free.

Hotel reservations for the special discounted room rate of $112 per night can be made by calling 888-421-1442, and telling them you are planning on attending the Gun Rights Policy Conference (GRPC). Additionally, you can book your hotel reservations online through this link .  Rooms are selling fast, make sure to book your room soon!

This year we’ll take a look at critical issues such as: bans on semi-auto firearms and magazines, concealed and open carry, federal legislation, BATFE policies, gun show regulation, state and local activity, the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty and the most recent Right to Keep and Bear Arms court cases.

As in the past, the Second Amendment Foundation will not only pick up the tab for lunch, but will also provide more than $125 worth of vital pro-gun rights materials to each attendee.  In addition to the box lunch and free materials, you will have the opportunity to chat with the speakers at the two planned evening receptions.

This event is so important to our cause, that the SAF Board of Trustees has elected to help underwrite the entire cost of the event.  Your cost to attend this event is absolutely free!*

We need your participation. Seating is limited.  Go to www.saf.org  now to register.

If you have any questions or wish to register over the phone, please call the SAF office at (425) 454-7012.

Sincerely yours,
Alan M. Gottlieb

Dear Sirs, Words can not express my disappointment in hearing you are conducting the Gun Rights Policy Conference in Chicago. I just can not believe you would support one of the most hostile, anti gun areas of the country by spending even a penny there. Why in the world wouldn’t you have it in a gun friendly area? Support people who are on our side not the enemy! I may have to rethink my association with your group. It still just floors me that any pro gun rights or second amendment organization would meet any where in a state or… Read more »

Alan Gottlieb in (EDIT See Comment Terms) every one of his concealed carry cases he has said that Open Carry can be banned. With the exception of two judges in one case in the 9th Circuit, every single Federal and State court has held that the Heller decision meant what it said about concealed carry not being a right. Since the Heller decision was published in 2008 there have been nearly 1,000 criminal and civil cases which argued that the Heller decision was wrong. Most of them have been criminal convictions for concealed carry, often made by convicted felons. Alan… Read more »

Both I and SAF do not oppose open carry. Our position is that you can not ban both open and concealed carry. You must alow some kind of carry for self-defense. But that does not mean that the courts will let stand a ban on one or the other. When was the last time Charles Nichols won a 2A court case? SAF has won many.

Let us not forget that Alan Gottlieb and his organization the SAF opposes Open Carry and takes the position that you have no right to even possess a firearm unless you have a government issued permission slip. Charles Nichols – President of California Right To Carry https://CaliforniaRightToCarry.org “[A] right to carry arms openly: “This is the right guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States, and which is calculated to incite men to a manly and noble defence of themselves, if necessary, and of their country, without any tendency to secret advantages and unmanly assassinations.”” District of Columbia v. Heller,… Read more »
