Washington DC - -(Ammoland.com)-  During a March 5th appearance on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) continued to push his failed Senate gun control bill and said his “NRA friends understand.

Host Joe Scarborough said, “My NRA friends understand it,” and Manchin said the same, pointing out that he is a “lifetime member” of the NRA.

During the interview, Manchin admitted that law-abiding gun owners are not going to sell guns to “a convicted felon or someone who is not mentally stable or give it to a family member who is not worthy of it.” But he continued to push for expanded background checks to keep law-abiding gun owners from doing the things he admitted they don’t do to begin with.

Manchin said he was “pretty straight” with his friends in West Virginia. He added, “They know who I am.”

On June 21, Breitbart News reported that the NRA was running an ad against Manchin in West Virginia. In the ad, they said Manchin posed as pro-gun to get elected, only to then begin working with President Obama and Michael Bloomberg on gun control.

Emperor Barry is trying to screw you and West Verginia on the coal issue. Admit it Joe, he turned on you and now you are friend of the NRA. Be a man and stand up for something instead of being Barry’s bitch.

Then he should not have any trouble understanding when they vote him out of office and never let him hold one again.

I have always liked Joe, and he has done a lot for the good people of WV. He has stood up against Obummer’s so called health care and has fought hard to keep coal going in WV and the country. When he was Gov of WV the state had money to spare. But on the other hand it makes one wonder where he is coming from on our guns. He is a hunter and fisherman and loves the outdoors. He is trying to tell the people it won’t effect the hunters and sportsmen. That is total bull crap. Any change will be an infringement on the 2nd.

I live in WV and have all my lie, also have been a conservative democrat lifelong as well, but when Joe Manchin turned on WV with his so called Common sense anti 2nd Amendment gun control agenda he show his true intentions about Us gun owners in this state, and when I say come election time this will not be forgotten. And now Sen. Rockefeller is retiring, his seat is going to go Republician to Shelly Capito who is Pro 2nd Amendment. So Sen. Manchin you sided with the wrong crowd. Many of us Democrats will be putting A Republican Senator in office to offset your agenda. and that’s the ay thing are developing in WV.

    6. The voters need to show him what we think of gun control when he’s up for re-election. Maybe a little lesson in the meaning of “shall not be infringed”.

With a friend like Joe the NRA don’t need enemies.

The man is smart, very smart, he knows exactly what he is doing with his gun control bills.

The rest of us are a lot smarter.

    8. With friends like that, who needs enemies?

All my NRA friends understand what the ‘D’ after a politician’s name means. ‘D’ is for dump! If the election cycle allows, dump them first chance you get. It’s time to end the Democrat’s war on Constitutionalists, Conservatives, Independents, Republicans and the grassroots Tea Party.

Joe Manchin should focus his efforts on an asymmetric national security issue. One where weapons take on a different form.

    11. There were a lot of Dems that took money from the NRA. Mark Warner had an “A” rating from the NRA on his stance for the Second Amendment. I think Tim Caine may have had a “B” rating, but look at what those two Dems did, along with the majority of Dems. They all, except for a handful scared Dems that were on shaky ground for reelection, vote for gun control. Even Harry Reid was supported by the NRA in his last reelection. I nearly gave up my lifetime NRA membership over that incident. I wonder now if the NRA has seen the light as to people they can trust with their contributions and support?

      Thanks to TexStan

    13. My friends in the NRA understand that a ‘D’ after a politician’s name denotes someone who you ‘D’ump at the next election cycle.

      Dear Senator:
You need a better circle of friends.

Manchin is a professional politician, which means he is a liar. He has his nose so far up 0bamas butt and will sell out this state in a heartbeat.

I’m from WV and an NRA Member. What my friends and I understand and promote is “NO MO JOE M NO MO”.

I would say that his NRA friends need to be more selective in who they call “friends”. This NRA Life Member and retired US Army Sergeant First Class does NOT have any “friends” who support gun control of any kind.
