Washington DC - -(Ammoland.com)-  During a May 25th 2014 appearance on Face the Nation, Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) said the attacks Elliot Rodger carried out with a gun ought to revive gun control in Congress.

On May 23 2014 Rodger shot and killed three people in Santa Barbara, California, and stabbed and killed three others.

Blumenthal told host Major Garrett that the loss of life in Santa Barbara reminds him of how Congress “was on the verge of passing legislation that would stop the madness and end the insanity” after the heinous crime at Sandy Hook Elementary.

He said he hopes “this unspeakable tragedy will bring back measures that would keep guns out of the hands of dangerous people, who are severely troubled or deranged like this young man was.”

Blumenthal said he hopes the pursuit of mental health solutions will “provide a consensus” that will allow Congress to come together to pass more gun control.

Wisdom from one of the finest liars of our time. This valuable insight from a man who claimed to have “served in Vietnam” and yet managed 5 deferments between ’65 and ’69 to avoid service. In 1970 he joined the Marine Reserves and again managed to avoid deployment. The war in Vietnam raged on well into 1975. Yet Bluenthal never deployed. Fascinating.

Blumenthal. . . Just another blowhard windbag. He neglected to comment about the 3 murdered with a knife. In his world, they don’t count.

Blumenthal should write a political treatise and title it ‘Truth in Politics’. LOL

    4. Simple truth is had one of the people in the store been armed, this thing would of been over. Instead of watching them cower and attempt to hide we would see a legal ccw holder drop the sick f@#$.

This should be a call for more legal gun carry.

That poor little rich punk in Santa Barbara,California that couldn’t get laid and shot up those kids should never had been allowed to buy them handguns. LE in California screwed this one up by not reporting his years of severe mental disorders/threats that was never reported and would had prevented him. The liberal gungrabbing trash damn sures knows this too ! To hell with all of them !

    6. Collectively known as democrats, please try to remember that these lying windbags don’t give a rats ass about your rights and protecting the public unless they can do it in a manner that violates the Constitution. Anybody consider nut case control instead of gun control? Maybe that would hurt the nut case’s feeling and we sure can’t have that. How about democrat / liar / wind bag control? Guess that’s asking for too much.

The shooting should revive Mental Illness awareness. You Libtard ass. Mental Illness caused this and the Insurance companies and Democrats that won’t address it are criminal.

Where is the outrage over Roger’s use of a dangerous Ultimate (assault) Driving Machine to run over innocent cyclists?

Newtown, and now Isla Vista, what is it about the culture of Progressive States run by Democrats that brings out such madness?

We need to ban big cities, all the rot and corruption causing our moral decay begins there.

    10. Election day is coming. Vote this idiot out of office and keep him out!

    11. i wonder how many members in congress could actually pass a mental evaluation

the way a lot of them are hell bent on taking our constitutional rights as written I believe they are LOONEY TUNNY
