    3. I have both a mini 14 and a mini 30. Both are reliable and good shooters. I recommend the Ruger “mini” to my friends because they are not an “assault rifle”, but are just as capable. Jon.

I used to have a Mini-14 and, I really liked it. It was very reliable and an all around solid rifle. I did “sell out” for the improved ergonomics of the AR-15. Accessories for the AR are cheaper and much more plentiful but, I will miss my Mini-14.

    5. Bought my mini-14 in 1983, for 150. was made in 1978 and I have run thousands of rounds through it. It fires as good today as the day I got it. 36 years of reliable, I will never part with it.
