USA --(Ammoland.com)- Somewhere, everyday in the USA, 2100+ people use a gun for self defense, to stop a crime or save the lives of themselves or their family.

“We believe that the American public deserve to understand that on the average, guns save 2,191 lives and are used to thwart crimes every day,” says Alan Gottlieb of the Second Amendment Foundation

Most times you won’t see these tales on the news as it does not fit the main stream media’s story line of “Guns and Gun Owners are Bad“.

This is just one of those stories;

An armed citizen was outside a Motel 6 in Jackson, Miss. when a man approached and asked for a cigarette. When the armed citizen declined the man, the man drew a gun and stated “Betcha ain’t got one of these.”

The armed citizen responded by drawing his own gun and firing at the robber, striking him in the chest and causing him to flee.

The criminal was discovered a short time later while seeking medical attention. (The Clarion Ledger, Jackson, Miss. 06/20/14)

    1. Recently, there was an incident in which the “armed citizen” came out last. Some super-twit lefty tried to say that it was proof that being armed is hazardous to your health. WRONG!!! What is hazardous is not being trained to watch out for that 2nd shooter, before you engage #1. MOST
      military and other properly trained people would have assessed the situation, ensuring that there was no back-shooter around, (most likely) eliminated #1 and been ready for #2. That hollyweird bravo sierra of telling an active shooter to drop it don’t get the job done. While sitting in on a class being given by a friend of mine, the question was posed, “You are out in a parking lot (carrying) and observe some scumbag popping people off. What do you do?” As I listened to the replies of “Tell him to drop it.” etc, I was shaking my head. The instructor, seeing this asked, “Mack, what do you do?” I replied, “He has, already demonstrated his willingness to take life. Don’t give him a chance to take yours. Shoot him in the back.” The instructor VEHEMENTLY agreed. Don’t be a dead hero. If you are sure you need to use deadly force, do it well, do it safely. This guy may have been good or lucky, but he got the job done. HOOAAHHH!!!
