Manasquan, NJ --(Ammoland.com)- A shooter entered an Oregon high school gun free zone today and killed one student, authorities said.

Multnomah Co. Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Alexander said the shooter was later found dead. While he provided no detail as to how the shooter died he was quick to point out that on-site armed school security personnel were the first to respond.

This story line mirrors what NRA Executive Director Wayne LaPierre has said all along, “The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.”

Alexander said police were still combing the school.

Police and a SWAT team descended on Reynolds High School in the mid-morning hours, after receiving reports of a shooting.

Officials said the school would release more details as information becomes available.

    1. I was listen to the news cast on my local channel. There was no mention of armed security personnel that responded to the shooting.

    2. Why would the news media want to provide proof that an armed citizenry or security person made a difference. They believe that only police and military should be armed. It’s a fallacy that security is exclusive to certain people or groups.
