BERRYVILLE, Ark. --( Officials with the International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) announced that Apex Tactical Specialties has once again signed on as a major sponsor of the Smith & Wesson IDPA Back Up Gun Nationals taking place November 6-8, 2014.

As part of their support Apex will be one of the stage sponsors for the competition. The company will be represented in the match by Team Apex’s Scott and Maddy Folk.

“Last year’s Smith & Wesson Back Up Gun Nationals was one of the best events of the season and we could not wait to be a part of this year’s championship. Apex is proud to continue its support of IDPA and the championships hosted by Smith & Wesson,” said Scott Folk of Apex.

The 2014 Back Up Gun Nationals will be held on the indoor ranges of the company’s Shooting Sports Center. Match officials estimate that 300 top IDPA shooters will be on hand to contest the national title.

“IDPA matches rely on the generous support of companies like Apex Tactical Specialties. Thanks to their sponsorship, the 2014 Back Up Gun Nationals is sure to be another huge success,” said Robert Ray, membership and marketing director for IDPA.
