Tim Boell Appointed as Vice President, Distribution & Affiliate Marketing.
Denver, Colo. – -(Ammoland.com)- Outdoor Channel, America’s Leader In Outdoor TV, today announced the appointment of Tim Boell as Vice President, Distribution & Affiliate Marketing.
Effective immediately, Boell will join the network’s affiliate sales and marketing group with a focus on expanding Outdoor Channel’s reach in the Eastern Region. Based in New York City, Boell will report directly to Steve Smith, Executive Vice President, Distribution & Affiliate Marketing at Outdoor Channel.
Boell is a cable industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience. He’s held key leadership roles at large network groups, including Viacom, Showtime and Sundance. In his new role, Boell will be responsible for generating increased distribution for Outdoor Channel’s linear SD, linear HD, VOD and TV Everywhere platforms, while strengthening the value of the outdoor adventure entertainment network among its existing affiliate base. He will work with marketing management across system operators, satellite providers and telecommunications carriers to develop strategies to bolster network awareness, viewership and subscriber growth. Boell will also oversee the Company’s Eastern Region sales staff.

Boell comes to Outdoor Channel from Asia TV USA, where he most recently served as Senior Vice President, Distribution. Prior to Asia TV USA, Boell worked at Viacom Media Networks, where he was a part of the senior team that successfully launched the multiplatform network EPIX. While at Sundance Channel, he led the Distribution and Affiliate Marketing teams, and was a member of the management team that sold Sundance Channel to AMC Networks. At Showtime, Boell worked in various positions in National Accounts, Affiliate Sales and Marketing.
