Winchester Deadly Passion with Melissa Bachman Debuts This Week

MINNETONKA, MN (July 2, 2014) —One thing that isn’t in Melissa Bachman’s vocabulary is “can’t” and that’s never been more true than in the third season of her break-out hit, Winchester Deadly Passion, premiering on Sportsman Channel Sunday July 6 at 2 p.m. ET and also at 5 p.m. ET on the Pursuit Channel.

With nearly 200 days spent in the field seeking big game during 2013, Bachman has put in the time to hunt hard, capture incredible footage and get in close with some amazing big game animals, plus she does all the editing and post-production as well!

From stalking brown bear in the Alaskan tundra to decoying in 35 whitetails in South Dakota, tune in Winchester Deadly Passion on Sportsman Channel Sundays at 2 p.m. ET and 5 p.m. ET on the Pursuit Channel.

In the series opener, Bachman shows her deadly skills as she heads to the Alaskan tundra; a harsh environment that’s home to some of the world’s largest predators. She’s hunting with Ryan McCue of Alaska Brown Bear Safari in mid-October, where the elements can quickly turn for the worse. Camping in just a tent for 10-days with no amenities, Bachman must put aside all creature comforts and focus solely on staying fit and zoned in on the hunt. Not even 70-mph gusts and bone-chilling rain will stop her from realizing her dream of pursuing an Alaskan brown bear

“We had a lot of incredible footage for this season’s shows. I literally left my home in August and returned for the first time in December, so there was no shortage of days in the field,” said Melissa Bachman, host.

“Viewers will get to experience some incredible hunts, but the most memorable aspect was the fun I had in the field with friends, family, and fellow hunters.  I went on an elk hunt with one of my best friends from college and took my mom on her first antelope hunt, which ended up being a great time and viewers will have to see if she gets her buck!”

Future shows have her heading to the western states for elk, Nebraska for mule deer, South Dakota for whitetails, Florida for big gators, and of course, she travels the country in search of bagging the biggest whitetails, too.
