Washington, DC –-(Ammoland.com)- Application for Registration of Firearms Acquired by Certain Governmental Entities (OMB Number 1140–0016)
Action: Paperwork Reduction Act Notice on Extension of an Existing Information Collection
Purpose:
The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires agencies to publish proposed information collections in the Federal Register for public comment before an agency can use the process (generally a form) to collect information from the public.
As required by the Paperwork Reduction Act, this notice provides 60 days for public comment on the proposed extension of the existing form.
The proposed information collection pertains to the ATF Form 10 which is required to be submitted by state and local government entities wishing to register an abandoned or seized and previously unregistered National Firearms Act weapon.
The form is required whenever application for such a registration is made.

What’s good for the goose is good for the gander comes to mind on this topic.
If “We the People” need to fill out paperwork, so do they 😉
That’s the gun that started the Second Amendment attacks in the first place. aka The Roaring Twenty’s.
Its funny whenever there is an article about NFA firearms there always seem to be a picture of a Thompson associated with that article.
