BELLEVUE, WA --(Ammoland.com)- I would like to invite you to our 29th annual Gun Rights Policy Conference (GRPC) which will be taking place September 26, 27 and 28, 2014 at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare Airport hotel in Chicago, Illinois.

This is your once-a-year chance to network, get an insider’s look, and plan pro-gun rights strategies for the coming year.

Past GRPC’s have outlined victory plans and made public the latest firearms trends. They allow you a first-hand chance to hear movement leaders–and make your voice heard.

Conference Attendance Is Free.

Hotel reservations for the special discounted room rate of $112 per night can be made by calling 888-421-1442, and telling them you are planning on attending the Gun Rights Policy Conference (GRPC). Additionally, you can book your hotel reservations online through this link .  Rooms are selling fast, make sure to book your room soon!

This year we’ll take a look at critical issues such as: bans on semi-auto firearms and magazines, concealed and open carry, federal legislation, BATFE policies, gun show regulation, state and local activity, the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty and the most recent Right to Keep and Bear Arms court cases.

As in the past, the Second Amendment Foundation will not only pick up the tab for lunch, but will also provide more than $125 worth of vital pro-gun rights materials to each attendee.  In addition to the box lunch and free materials, you will have the opportunity to chat with the speakers at the two planned evening receptions.

This event is so important to our cause, that the SAF Board of Trustees has elected to help underwrite the entire cost of the event.  Your cost to attend this event is absolutely free!

    1. Why have this in the murder capital of the country, Chiraq, where we can’t carry?

      Dear Sirs,

Words can not express my disappointment in hearing you are conducting the Gun Rights Policy Conference in Chicago. I just can not believe you would support one of the most hostile, anti gun areas of the country by spending even a penny there. Why in the world wouldn’t you have it in a gun friendly area? Support people who are on our side not the enemy! I may have to rethink my association with your group.
It still just floors me that any pro gun rights or second amendment organization would meet any where in a state or city that is against them. The money spent there and the recognition is just supplying the enemy with support. Stupid, stupid, stupid!

      Sorry,

But have to agree with Mr. Snow 100%

I am a lifetime member of 2nd Amendment Foundation and continue to contribute to what I think is the Premier gun rights organization in the world. I am extremely discouraged that you would meet in Chicago – the epitome of gun control gone mad. You may think you’re “taking it to them” but other locations would have attracted more members. I would no more go to Chicago unarmed than I would parade down its main street naked.

while this show are in the area of Illinois /Indiana/ Michigan ,I hope the visitors will parade up every street and the city hall with a mock-up gun or sign

    6. Chicago? Are you freaking kidding me? Like the folks who posted before me, I would never spend a dime in communist Chicago. You pick Chicago over the hundreds of cities who are gun friendly. This is not my idea of the right choice. Thanks SAF.

    7. I guess San Francisco is the location for 2015.

And why is everyone surprised that Alan Gottlieb picked Chicago and a place where you can’t carry?

      Honestly, why are you surprised?

Concealed carry is of no use to me, I don’t carry a purse. Besides, Open Carry is the right guaranteed by the Constitution, concealed carry can be prohibited.

“[A] right to carry arms openly: “This is the right guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States, and which is calculated to incite men to a manly and noble defence of themselves, if necessary, and of their country, without any tendency to secret advantages and unmanly assassinations.”” District of Columbia v. Heller, 128 S. Ct. 2783 – Supreme Court (2008) at 2809.

“Like most rights, the right secured by the Second Amendment is not unlimited. From Blackstone through the 19th-century cases, commentators and courts routinely explained that the right was not a right to keep and carry any weapon whatsoever in any manner whatsoever and for whatever purpose. For example, the majority of the 19th-century courts to consider the question held that prohibitions on carrying concealed weapons were lawful under the Second Amendment or state analogues.” District of Columbia v. Heller, 128 S. Ct. 2783 – Supreme Court (2008) at 2816.

“We therefore hold that the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment incorporates the Second Amendment right recognized in Heller.” McDonald v. City of Chicago, Ill., 130 S. Ct. 3020 – Supreme Court (2010) at 3050.

“[T]he right of the people to keep and bear arms (art. 2) is not infringed by laws prohibiting the carrying of concealed weapons…” Robertson v. Baldwin, 165 US 275 – Supreme Court (1897) at 282

First, Rosemont isn’t in Chicago. It is near Chicago. Second Illinois has been an important battle ground state for the second amendment and getting closer to the national right to carry reciprocity act. Abandoning any state to the gun control fila simply gives them a base of operation from which to gain strength. See you in Rosemont Illinois.
