Job Description:

Job Title: Marketing Manager

Division: Outdoor Products

Salary: An attractive and competitive compensation/benefits package, commensurate with experience

Core Hours: Mon – Fri; 8 am – 5 pm;

Location: Grand Prairie, TX

Position Summary:

The Marketing Manager leads the marketing function for the Outdoor Division by managing product promotions through catalogue creation, on-line information, and communication at trade shows.

Job tasks are typically performed under minimal supervision with some direction from the Director of Marketing. A significant level of discretion and latitude is exercised in completing and prioritizing job tasks.

Essential Job Requirements:

  • Plan and manage marketing budget
  • Work with Director of Marketing to create and execute marketing plans for brands and specific products
  • Keep track of expenses and forecasts on a monthly basis
  • Manage processing and tracking of all marketing invoices
  • Direct media buying agency to create print and on-line media plans for all brands
  • Work with vendors to create and execute retail displays
  • Support the Sales department
  • Maintain FTP Site for all division
  • Product Images
  • Product Copy
  • Catalog PDF’s
  • Logos
  • Sell Sheets
  • Manage the design and production of various sell sheets at the request of the sales group
  • Plano-grams
  • Provide plan-o-grams or plan-o-gram images for various customers at the request of the sales group
  • Special Make-Ups
  • Work with production to produce small scale SMU samples for sales such as multi-packs and shelving pack
  • Manage the design of photo mock-ups show customer logos on specific products
  • Customer Image Requests
  • Provide images of products not on FTP site (SMU’s or special angles, un-propped, etc.)
  • Work with vendors to create and execute retail displays
  • Media/PR Support
  • Direct PR firms in supporting various product launches, trade shows and writer inquiries
  • Give direction to media partners on product features and provide samples of product when needed
  • Communication to external agencies to assure alignment on key product priorities for upcoming season
  • Direct internal resources to provide Pro-Staff/Field Staff support
  • Order and ship product samples as requested
  • Coordinate special event appearances
  • Coordinate vignetter production
  • Request and approve content for use on website
  • Coordinate contracts for approval
  • Other duties assigned as necessary
  • Qualifications and Experience
  • BA/BS in Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field
  • Experience in Brand Marketing Program implementation is preferred
  • Experience with budgets, media, events, and promotions
  • Mastery of skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point

  • Strong project management skills, resourceful, creative, and results-oriented

  • Ability to travel and keep non-traditional hours while maintaining communications with Home office

  • Works independently or as a part of a team with minimal supervision and communicates essential feedback
  • Must be able to interact and communicate clearly with a broad cross section of personnel both internally to the company and external customers
