Maryland ––(Ammoland.com)- During the 2013 legislative session, over 6000 Maryland citizens took time off from work, family, and personal lives to spend an entire day in Annapolis on February 6 2013, for the Senate Gun bill hearings on (then) SB281, The Firearm Safety Act of 2013.

Those citizens managed to shut down access to the Senate office building due to fire code regulations.

As such, over half never made it inside to testify. Of those that did make it inside to testify and wait in line to do so, less than 1000 got the opportunity for their three minutes. At 4:30 that day, the hearing was closed to further comment and those still in line were herded through like cattle to give their name and if they were for or against the bill.

Out of that grew the chant “2014.” 2014 stickers showed up prominently the rest of the legislative session, as a reminder to those elected officials in Annapolis, that we would not forget.

That time to remind them that we have not forgotten, is this Tuesday, November 4th 2014.

If you have any doubts about how any of your elected officials voted, please got to the MSI Rankings page: https://www.vcdl.org/webapps/vcdl/2017leg.html

On that page are links to the AGC rankings as well as the rankings from the NRA and GOA.

If you have already voted via early voting or absentee ballot, we thank you and encourage you to take some time, if you have it, to volunteer to support candidates you favor, at the polls.

If you are on the fence about voting, we encourage you to do so, it is your right, it is your voice, it is up to you to be heard.
