NEWTOWN, Conn –-(Ammoland.com)- The international Convention on Migratory Species approved a resolution backing a “rapid phase out” of the use of traditional ammunition in all habitats.

During its meeting in Ecuador, countries that have signed on to the 35-year old United Nation’s Convention for the Conservation of Migratory Species (CMS) agreed to phase out traditional ammunition over the next three years.

SAAMI (Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers’ Institute) and European partners were able to insert a change to the resolution, stating that, “it is for each Party to determine whether or how to implement the phase out of lead ammunition.”

No country in North America has signed the treaty.

The UN talks about hunting ammo , but how much depleted uranium has polluted modern battlefields. Millions are being spent quietly cleaning up that mess. DU ammunition’s is not just used in m1 tanks, most of the Gatling guns in 20 and 30mm on aircraft , helicopters tanks and vehicles . Between Bosnia and Iraq over 20000 rounds have been used polluting these areas that is far more toxic than lead. The UK surprisingly is trying to get away from DU while France won’t saying it’s unfounded.

UN ammo ban , UN arms treaty that is so open ended they can modify it at will. UN’s agenda 21 how to live in cities. The UN needs to shut up, pack and GTFO.

I’m more surprised that Jay Leno is the host of the NSSF Shot Show dinner?
Does he even hunt or target shoot?
